Our Dial-up service is ideal for users who do not have DSL access in their area, or just want basic access to the Internet.
We use several methods to provide quick, reliable interest service to you.
- Compression - Graphics & text are compressed on our servers before being delivered to your computer. This means that less information has to be sent via your 56k connection.
- Caching - Your web browser stores web pages and graphics on your computer so they don’t have to be retrieved from the Internet every time you visit a web page. Andiamo Telecom goes one step further by using better caching technology that not only stores web pages, but also "web page elements" that may be common to more than one web page. This translates into less data being sent through your phone line.
- Persistent Connections - Every time you view a web page, your browser must open a separate connection to the Internet for each object that it downloads. This means that for every individual thing that a web page needs to display (the web page itself, all graphics, any Java scripts & programs, Flash, sounds, etc.) your computer needs to open a new connection to the web page. Since Andiamo Telecom pre-processes web sites, it is able to manage these connections more efficiently, opening far fewer than would be necessary for a standard web browser.
